hello laxy ladies, i’m rosie and i’m running for president!

i am a first team player currently in my second year studying philosophy, psychology and scientific thought. despite what some people might say, i don’t sit in a room all day and ponder the meaning of life, i sit in a room all day and ponder the next lacrosse game, what i’m wearing to the social, uolmlc, how many rollover pints my bank can take, and how much i love beating beckett.

now you may say “but rosie you haven’t actually been on committee!” and to that i say a) shut up have u never heard of rollover/tour/mixed(is there another bs position i nommed myself for?)sec and b) i am very involved with the club and have good knowledge of the inner workings of committee. additionally i am highly prepared and have done my research on the role of president and exec so am very clear on what this role entails and why i am suited to it.

⭐️i am very organised and staying on top of communications with the uni, club events and ensuring everything runs smoothly is no problem
⭐️i am fair and committed to listening to all opinions when making a decision
⭐️i think it’s very important to support each other and am intent on making sure every member of the club and committee feel content and heard
⭐️i am skilled in persuasive emails and am not afraid to break out the karen to ensure uolwlc endures no issues, whilst also maintaining a good relationship with the union
⭐️i am friendly and approachable and love interacting with everyone in lacrosse
⭐️maintaining our close relationship with the men’s club is important to me (and no i do not mean solely through laxcest), and hopefully one day our united front will outroll rugby
⭐️i am very dedicated to this club (who else would read the entirety of bucs regulations to find a loophole) and leeds lacrosse is a massive part of my uni life that i would love to give back to💚

i am very aware that this is no small role but as president of women’s lacrosse i can promise you i will put 100% effort into this club and bring both the passion and the energy we all deserve (whilst still making it to popworld every week)🕺🪩.
