Hello everyone, I’m Rachel and I’m running to be your Social Media Representative.

Orthopaedics is an incredibly visual, dynamic, and innovation-driven specialty, but it can also feel intimidating from the outside. As Social Media Rep, my goal is to break down those barriers. I want to use our platforms not just to broadcast events, but to build an active digital community that inspires students at every stage. And as a medical student with a strong interest in orthopaedics, I'm excited to help more students discover and engage with the specialty.

If elected, I want to focus on three main areas:
•     Demystifying the Specialty: Creating engaging, bite-sized content like "Day in the Life" takeovers, surgeon spotlights, and breakdowns of complex sub-specialties to show what Trauma & Orthopaedics is truly about.
•     Accessible Resources: Highlighting research opportunities, conference deadlines, teaching events, and portfolio-building opportunities so members never miss a chance to get involved.
•     Inclusivity & Community: I want our social media to show that there is a place for everyone in orthopaedics, exploring the different pathways into the field and showcasing diverse experiences within the specialty.

I’m creative, organised, and understand how to capture an audience's attention in a crowded feed. I look forward to collaborating across the committee to showcase the absolute best of what OrthoSoc has to offer.
