The role of treasurer for Dance Exposé is super important as you will be in charge of all the money for our society! This is obviously a huge responsibility but is so exciting because the better you do your job, the more exciting things we can do as a committee! 

The role requires lots of organisation, perseverance and working behind the scenes all year round.  You will be in charge of sorting sponsorship, dividing our budget fairly and effectively and keeping clear finance records. As treasurer you will have to do a lot of chasing up so it's really important you are super on it!

It is essential that the treasurer is level headed and always keeps the budget in the back of their mind. Expose girls dream big but you have to be prepared to remind other committee members that things cost money! However, our aim is to have a good time and dance our hearts out and not to make loads and loads of money so it's important to keep a good balance.

Being on committee is not just about your individual role though. There is a lot more to it! You will be running rehearsals, checking in on the dancers, choreographing and sorting things like costumes, lights and set design for the show. You need to be kind and approachable but also a leader - the whole dynamic of the society comes from committee so we want to create a nurturing and happy environment but also a productive one!

Being on committee is so much fun and so rewarding. You will make best friends for life and it's so nice to know you are part of something that will make other peoples uni experiences what they are! Remember we are here to make friends so as long as you are doing that and helping other people do that, then you are smashing it. Good luck and have the best time!!!
