Hiii I’m Emma, I’m coming to the end of my first year as a sport and exercise science student and I’d love to be your PR secretary for LUU Street!! I’ve been apart of LUU Street for the last year and have absolutely adored every single second of it and really feel like I have found my second family. During freshers I was so excited when I found street and was desperate to get on to the team. I completely submerged myself in attending Monday classes, learning new styles and after having the opportunity to compete with the team I put my all into comps and from that I’ve built the most amazing friendships I could’ve hoped for. If elected as PR secretary I would help to boost our already high views, I would encourage a greater involvement with our social media platforms such as TikTok, create more entertaining videos which will help boost our engagement and provide a supporting role to the rest of the committee. I’m approachable, friendly and fun and I hope to encourage that from new members and reflect that into this role. I am easy to communicate with so can therefore provide any help when liaising with other committee members and others eg sponsors. I know I will put maximum effort into this, creating fun videos, advertising classes/socials and ensuring all members are up to date on events. I aim to do this by making sure there are regular posts of TikTok’s, instagram reels and posts to maintain and encourage high engagement which will promote our society, I will also encourage all to get involved to give a great representation of our team. Within my own social media accounts I reach a large range of views and engagement which I think shows my ability to manage this area well and is something i can implement into the LUU street platforms. I love designing and providing a flare of uniqueness which I believe I can reflect into both posts and when collaborating on designs for eg merch making our society stand out even more. Through my creativity I aim to create a more engaging instagram account with varied posts on upcoming events, displays of our teams achievements and of course many dancing videos. I absolutely love this society and dance and will show off all our comp videos and class videos wherever possible to display all of our amazing dancers. With dancers consent I would also aim to regularly post videos from our Monday classes to show our appreciation of those who come along and get involved (whether they’re on the team or not), and I think this will also help with boosting confidence for our beginners and team members, I also feel this will show our appreciation for the individual leading the class. I would be so so grateful for the opportunity to give back to this street family so thank you for reading my statement and considering me for this PR role!

I aspire to boost member satisfaction, maintain audience engagement and get as many people coming to our events as possible and leaving with a smile on their face.
