Hi I am Elise and I am a first year physics student (hopefully) going into second year. I have had such a great year in Leeds and thanks to ballet society I have had some of the best nights out and made some amazing friends.

We have all had a wonderful year in ballet and we can say thanks to the current and past committee for making this possible. It would mean a lot to me if I was lucky enough to be on committee next year. I would love to be your treasurer for the 2022/23 academic year and whilst I often do more ballet than my degree sometimes, I do have some fairly good maths skills.

I have been doing ballet since I was three years old and was a teaching assistant at my ballet school since I was 15, so ballet has been a huge part of my life and I want it to continue to be. When I used to work at my ballet school, I would regularly handle money and help my teacher with bills and accounts so I hope I have some experience for the role of treasurer! I also (embarrassingly) love a good spreadsheet and would much rather make spreadsheets for ballet than lab reports. I would work really hard with the rest of committee to co-ordinate ballet’s funds for the year in order to give everyone the experience I have had this year. I have strong communication skills and I am good at budgeting money (unlike some other members of ballet, Katie and Claire I’m looking at you). I believe I have the skills and the ability to learn and adapt that would make me good for the job.

It would be such a privilege to be on ballet committee and I can only hope I work as hard as the previous committee to have another wonderful, hilarious and chaotic year of ballet society!
