Hi, I’m Hollie and I am currently a first year studying International History and Politics. I am super grateful to have been a part of the Advanced Competition Team and it has been one of the main highlights of my first year, and I want to ensure that I can deliver the same amazing experience to the Competition team next year!

Competition captains have to be positive and encouraging members of the team and someone who others can turn to with questions. I aim to be an approachable, familiar face, ensure everyone is happy and comfortable at competitions, and provide an effective link to Erica to relay any feedback. It is important that the team is motivated and excited during comp season, and that they can come to me with any concerns. I also aim to maintain the already close ties between Ballet, Modern and Irish teams at comps, collaborating with their captains.

I also would love to coordinate with the inter comp captain and the social sec next year to put on a comp social before our first performance so we can get to know the team better!

Being on the committee would be an amazing opportunity, and I have learnt a lot from the amazing job Lizzy did for the comp team this year, I’d definitely have big shoes to fill!

My experience being on the comp team last year has given me insight into how the society is run and structured, and I feel this has prepared me for the realities of being part of the committee. I am excited at the prospect of learning what is needed from me to deliver the best experience possible for those on the comp teams next year, and hopefully adding some more trophies to the cabinet in the process!

I would love the opportunity to be advanced competition captain and help the comp team have the best year possible :)
