Hi, I’m Liss, a third-year medical student, and I’m excited for the opportunity to run for Secretary of the Catholic Society.

I believe it is important for the cohesion of the committee that everyone has awareness of what is happening within the society. As Secretary, I would help ensure this by keeping clear records, preparing agendas and minutes, and supporting strong communication across the committee.

Communication is essential in maintaining the flow and strength of any community. Through organised documentation and helping promote events, I would aim to support the smooth running of the society and keep members engaged.

My experience as Prayer and Liturgy Secretary has shown me how important every role within the society is in supporting our shared mission. This role has helped refine my discipline and commitment, qualities I would carry forward into the Secretary role.

As St. Paul writes, “Let all things be done decently and in order.” (1 Corinthians 14:40). I would aim to embody this spirit by helping ensure the society remains organised, communicative, and welcoming for all its members.
