While everyone knows playing cricket is not my best skill, I have been an active, enthusiastic member of cricket (mostly women’s) throughout this year and can proudly say I am yet to miss a social! (I’d love to also say I’m yet to miss a catch but I’m still working on that.)
Women’s cricket has been extremely welcoming, providing me with countless opportunities and enabling me to meet some of my best friends in Leeds. I would cherish the opportunity to be a part of committee next year so that I can pass on the supportive, inclusive, and friendly attitude I was shown this year and share my love of the club with others.
I consider myself worthy of the role of sponsorship and kit sec because I am an organised and passionate member of women’s cricket, with great people skills, which I believe are key for this position. Additionally, my excellent time management skills will allow me to get kit for us on time, with our sponsors hopefully making this kit cheaper too ;). I also have already thought of ideas for kit designs and a couple of new sponsors which I am excited to share with you if I am lucky enough to get this position.
Women’s cricket continues to be the highlight of my university experience, and therefore I would treasure the opportunity to spread this love of the club to others (possibly over a pint), while giving back to the club though being sponsorship and kit secretary.
