Hi everyone! My name is Amelie, and I would love to be your show rep! I'm a first year Law student, and currently do advanced contemporary, advanced jazz and inter contemporary comp team! Modern dance has absolutely MADE my uni experience, and I can't imagine life without this lovely society 💗💗

Why me?
✅Experienced: Not only have I been dancing my whole life, I have also been massively involved in organising shows. Through being Dance Captain and a part of my theatre company's creative team, I have run rehearsals, attended weekly meetings, surveyed venues, coordinated performers, sourced supplies, and worked with sound and lighting. I worked part time as a dance teacher, so am confident with teaching classes and running rehearsals. I am also a professional christmas elf (real job 😭) so literally get paid to do shows!!!!
✅Team player: I would support the rest of the committee and be as involved as possible!
✅Organised: I am a SPREADSHEET WARRIOR, and I promise to use my ruthless law student organisation to keep our shows as stress free as possible!
✅Friendly: I think I am friendly and approachable, and always willing to reach out and help people!
✅Proactive: Organised the filming of this year's May show!

As your Show Rep, I would:
✨Introduce post-show socials: Idk about you guys, but after the madness of show week I'm always disappointed to just go home! I would want to work with the social secs to organise a wholesome lil pub trip to wind down and celebrate all of our hard work!
✨Host catch-up rehearsals: I'd like to host a drop in with the choreographers before each show for a chance to ask questions or go over any choreography in a low stakes environment. I know shows can be super nerve-wracking, especially if it's your first time performing, and I want to make sure everyone is as comfortable as possible!
✨Encourage more extra dances: Helping choreograph the freshers dance, and taking part in other extra dances has been such a fun way to be more involved in shows and have an extra chance to perform!
✨Film our shows: I think it'd be lovely to document what we've been working on, and maybe even have a movie night to watch it back together! (I also can't be the only one whose parents refuse to come all the way to Leeds for a show😭)
✨Introduce group photos: A bit of a silly one, but I love our cute team photos from each comp, and think it'd be a sweet thing to introduce at shows as well!
✨Have a designated rep for each dance: Shows are insanely chaotic and even a bit scary sometimes. I want to make sure that everyone has someone they know and can turn to on show day with any worries, questions or issues. I'm aware that as the person running the show, I'm unlikely to be able to help everyone, and so having these reps will allow any minor issues to be dealt with as easily as possible!✨Continue Frankie's amazing work: Frankie has left MASSIVE shoes to fill, and I would love to have the chance to continue her great work, especially with increasing accessibility and inclusion in our shows!

Hey everyone! I’m Kira, and I’d love to be your Competition Rep for 2025/26!

As this year’s Welfare Rep and a dancer in both Modern and Wildcard, I’ve worked to create a fun, welcoming space for everyone—and I’m ready to bring that energy to our comp teams. I want every dancer to feel included, supported, and excited, whether it’s your first comp or your fifth!

I’ll make sure competitions run smoothly with strong planning, fun socials, and some unforgettable trips. I also have big Wildcard ideas—think Hairspray, Pitch Perfect, and Rio carnival vibes—to help us shine on stage and show off what makes our society so special.

Let’s build on Let’s Dance 2025, smash our goals, and keep the team spirit high—vote Kira!

Hey, I'm Ellie and I'm a first year currently studying Politics. I have been a member of modern since September and I have absolutely loved it, doing advanced lyrical and inter contemporary. Some of my modern highlights include the secret social, the Christmas fundraiser and choreographing for the may show. I would love the be your show rep for 2025/26 because I love putting together shows and organising whilst also creating a positive atmosphere and making all shows and rehearsals enjoyable for everyone. I have experience in planning dance events and shows with my dance school at home so would be very organised and stay on top of show work. I would LOVE creating different concepts for shows. I am also (hopefully) an approachable person so would be there if anyone had any concerns or worries or questions about the show or just any issues in general.

This year I have choreographed a dance in memory of my friend Hallie which is dedicated to the charity we set up in her name called Ignite and this has grown my confidence massively and I have loved doing it. This gave me the idea of a charity dance for the may show which represents the chosen charity for the year, raising awareness for whatever the lovely cause is. One reason why I would love to do this because I think it allows people from different styles and different abilities to come together and create a lovely meaningful dance whilst also meeting new people. Some other things that I would do as your show rep is continue with the accessibility project that was started this year, as I think it has been amazing and is such a lovely idea. Finally, I would try to offer ways in which members from all levels can get involved in choreo for both the Christmas show and the may show, in some way.

The work Frankie has done this year has been incredible and I hope that If I was to become show rep I could carry on this amazing work and would love the opportunity to be able to work with you all. Thank you for reading!
