Responsible for keeping a connection of current and old members of the society and organising the ‘Alumni Weekender’, which is an annual weekend full of social and sporting events for alumni and current members. Maintaining the alumni Facebook page posting regular updates on BUCS, Varsity and upcoming big socials. Alumni Secretary is also responsible for updating and organising SWP LinkedIn. This position has potential to be an important role if an initiative is taken to make the role your own, for example there’s the potential for alumni sponsorship, alumni specific events, networking for current students etc.
