Why hello there! You've bumped into the Gebdog (otherwise known as Gebbie, Gebdoggy dog dog, or less commonly, Joe Gebbie). This year I've been the President of the club which has been an absolute blast, but I fancy a shake-up. If there was such a role as 'Commentary Sec' - I'd be there (see my promo video). But there isn't, so I'm seeking to channel my vocal support, analysis and occasional woofing into written form by bidding to be your Press Sec. As a wee fresher (I'm currently 3rd year), I was treated to the literary excellence of Nathan Marsh and Tom Kay who were Press Secs at the time. Their genious turn of phrase and sheer mercilessness in reporting the on and off field action was priceless. After 3 years in Doss, and debuts at Mountain Hut, Beer Mile World Classic and IOM this year - I reckon I'm ready to take on the tough task of reviving the scoops of 2019/20 seen in the Daily Dosser. I love being at the heart of the action, to live and breathe Doss, and I have a flawless attendance record this year. I've offered my services unofficially a number of times this year to turn out a race report - but I feel the creative juices will really flow once I'm nailed down in a dedicated role for it. My good friend, house mate, and fellow bonker Ewan Bate is running to be your President this year. The Gebate partnership was founded in 2020 when we united as Men's Captains - and now I want to renew those vows and be the man to deliver Bate's dream of a Doss Journal. As your press sec, I will be there to catch all the action, gather the inside scoop, name and shame, encourage all things Doss and offer any of my prior experience and knowhow to the rest of the committee. I look forward to a 2022/23 of dosseminating the best news, goss and memories of our beautiful club.
