Work closely with the President to plan engaging event ideas throughout the year.
Assist with the organisation and delivery of events, which includes sourcing and collecting supplies from shops (e.g., collecting decorations, cutlery, equipment).
You may occasionally be asked to host or assist the President with hosting Society events, including making announcements via microphone and introducing speakers or performers.
Visit and assess potential venue options for society events, and source suitable venues as directed by the President.
You may also be required to book venues and event spaces in accordance with the University's procedures, protocols, and Students' Union requirements.
You may be required to complete administrative tasks relating to events, including creating and managing tickets through the University's Engage system and the Universe platform (guidance will be provided), booking venues, as well as completing any necessary event forms or documentation required by the University and Students' Union.
Gather feedback from attendees regarding events.
Having access to a car would be helpful for collecting event supplies, but this is not an essential requirement (aka you do NOT need a car to apply for this role).
