PakSoc has genuinely been one of the highlights of my time at Leeds. Paksoc gave me a community and allowed me to create lasting memories such as from laser tag right at the start to more recently Zack Knight. And that’s exactly why I want to give something back by running as Social Media Officer and doing more for this community.
In terms of experience, I have a solid foundation in content creation and social media management. During sixth form, I ran the social media for my school’s Robotics team, which involved producing TikToks, managing posts, and building an online presence for the society. I was also school prefect where I created content and photography for the school events. So I’m no stranger to being on the other side of the camera.
PakSoc deserves a social media presence that reflects how brilliant it actually is. I’d love the opportunity to help and really give 100% to this, and have a bit of fun doing it too.

Hi everyone! I'm Tiaba Tahir, and I'm running for social media officer for PAKSOC.
I would love to have the opportunity to represent our society online by ensuring that I bring increased attention to the amazing events, opportunities and community that PAKSOC has to offer.
I have an interest in creating social media content and enjoy finding creative ways to engage people online. I would want our platforms to actively promote events whilst also ensuring that everyone feels connected and included. I believe that our social media should reflect the welcoming and energetic community we have through event highlights and interactive stories.
If elected, my aims would include the following:
- Promoting events in an engaging manner to increase attendance
- Creating more consistent and appealing tiktok and instagram content
- Helping to make PAKSOC an even more active and inclusive community online
I am organised, passionate and dedicated to putting time and effort into this role to achieve the best outcomes, and I hope I can represent this as the next social media officer!

I am running for Social Media Secretary because I believe PakSoc deserves a social media presence that is engaging, professional, and impossible to ignore. Social media is the face of any society, and I want to ensure that every event, achievement, and opportunity reaches as many students as possible.

If elected, I will bring fresh ideas, consistent content, and a clear strategy to grow our audience and increase engagement. From high-quality event promotions and interactive stories to cultural highlights, member spotlights, and behind-the-scenes content, I will make our platforms more active, exciting, and representative of the vibrant PakSoc community.

I am organised, reliable, and committed to putting in the work required to keep our social media running at a high standard throughout the year. My goal is not simply to post content but to build a stronger sense of community, increase event attendance, and ensure every member feels connected to PakSoc.
