Hey guys, I would like to be your welfare secretary for the next academic year !
Although I’m relatively new to triathlon society, having joined this year, I’ve quickly come to love the supportive, encouraging, and competitive spirit that defines our society. As Welfare Secretary, I’m committed to fostering this inclusive environment and promoting the psychological and physical wellbeing of all members.
As a current medical student I have a good background in safeguarding knowledge and feel well equipped to signpost students to relevant support services. Next year, I’ll be intercalating in Sports and Exercise Medicine, giving me both the time to dedicate to this role and a deeper understanding of the unique needs of student athletes.
Finally, as a member of the BUCS squad I’d be thrilled to represent this group on the committee, ensuring their voices are heard and their experiences are valued.
