Involved with the wilderness for the past 5 (😳) years now, and keen to keep it that way. Have attended both weekends away and wild trials and can't wait for next year's adventures!

Hello, I'm Fin ,currently a first year medical student. While I have not been part of this society for very long, my time in it has been fantastic. Generally I've always loved outdoorsy endeavours and team-working in several contexts; with this in mind I'd love to be a part of the commitee seeing,understanding and contributing to its inner-workings and thus fun wilderness events!

Hi there! I’m Trinity, a first year medical student and I’ve loved being part of Wilderness Medicine this year. I’ve attended both weekends away this year as well as Northern Wild Trials and have learnt so much from it. I’m passionate about being outdoors and exploring and would love the opportunity to get involved with committee and continue to have more wilderness fun!

During my year intercalating in London, I really found a love for Wilderness and Expedition medicine (despite there not being many mountains nearby!) My favourite module was Extreme Physiology, where we had lectures about space, altitude and expedition medicine- I know, how cool! I also completed the Wilderness Medicine course at Kings, which involved lectures, OSCE-style days and weekends away, focused on all things outdoors and how to survive in the wilderness. I’d love to be able to bring some of these ideas to Leeds- putting on moulages, running talks and bringing the love of the wilderness back to Leeds with me. Thank you and I hope to be exploring around the Yorkshire Dales with you all soon :)

Hello! I’m India and I’m running for General Committee. I’m a keen outdoor enthusiast and I’ve spent a fair amount of time with Wilderness Med this year! I’m excited to hopefully be on committee and get the chance to do some teaching and get even more involved with the society. I’d also love to try and promote Wilderness Med to the younger years more by going into 1st and 2nd year lectures and advertising just how fun our GIAGs and weekend trips are! Vote India for more outdoorsy excitement and wilderness teaching!
