Hey ACS members,
I'm Dara and I’m excited to apply for the role of Treasurer position in our society. As a first- year student studying Accounting and Finance, and proud member of ACS and the Women in Leadership Society, I want to make sure our money matters are in good hands.
I understand the importance of financial transparency and smart management within our community. My experiences, like shadowing at BMC Accountants LTD and working with Generation Innovation, have given me real-world insights into handling finances and solving problems creatively.
Whether it's balancing debits and credits in accounting or through working in the hospitality industry, I've learned the value of teamwork, communication, and staying organized. And as an Events Ambassador at university, I've honed my leadership skills and ability for coordinating with diverse groups.
If I become Treasurer, here's what I'll bring to the table:
1. Keeping our financial records clear and transparent so we all know where the
money's going.
2. Working with our committee to budget wisely for all the events and projects we
have planned.
3. Making sure we follow all the rules and regulations to protect our funds and keep
things legit.
I want to be a positive addition to the ACS committee because I believe in the power of collaboration and collective impact. I bring a fresh perspective, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for serving our community. My goal is not just to fulfil the duties of the Treasurer role but also to actively contribute ideas, support fellow committee members, and help ACS reach new heights. I hope we can create memorable experiences, foster inclusivity, and make a real difference in the lives of our members.
