Hi everyone,

I am Alisha, a first-year law student, and I am incredibly excited to be running for Sponsorship Secretary. I am willing to create an open dialogue between the ACS committee and ACS members to receive diverse ideas for sponsorship events.


Studying law and participating in the Leeds Law Soc Negotiating competition has developed my attention to detail, which I can effectively utilise when reviewing sponsorship contracts. I will use my negotiation skills to secure favourable terms for ACS contracts and encourage sponsors to renew contracts.



I am currently an EDI Ambassador for the School of Law, and after successful meetings, I helped secure funding for an accessibility route. My communication skills will enable me to develop a strong rapport with sponsors and encourage them to engage in more sponsorships for the growth and development of ACS.



In sixth form, I was a Geography Ambassador, working to organise events such as open days. My time management skills will enable me to organise successful career events by starting communications with sponsors early to get as many sponsors present at career events as possible.



If elected as Sponsorship Secretary, I promise to be committed to securing sponsorship funding from a wide variety of sectors. I will be dedicated to liaising with sponsors to achieve the best opportunities for ACS members, for example, more sector-specific career events such as POV workshops and networking sessions.



My time on the committee will be guided by inclusivity and teamwork. I will work cohesively with committee members and be open to ACS members to express requests. I will ensure my time as Sponsorship Secretary if elected, achieves another amazing year for the ACS and I hope you will help me deliver on this by voting Alisha for Sponsorship Secretary.

Dear ACS Members,
I am thrilled to run for a position within the Afro Caribbean Society. I know I will be committed to bringing fresh energy and innovative ideas to our society.
As a candidate, my main focus will be on elevating our society's presence and impact. I will work to maintain – and create new- strong relationships with sponsors, ensuring that we secure the necessary funding to host exciting events. These events will not only provide invaluable networking opportunities but also serve as platforms for personal and professional growth.
Moreover, I am passionate about creating career opportunities for our members. I believe in championing our talents and connecting them with top-notch industry professionals. By renewing sponsorship I will ensure that ACS remains a hub of opportunity and growth for all.
In addition, I will collaborate closely with our Media and Creative Directors to amplify ACS's voice across various platforms. Together, we will share content about upcoming events and opportunities, keeping our members inspired and engaged every step of the way.
I am enthusiastic about the chance to serve you, our ACS community, and to play a part in shaping our collective success. With your support, I am confident that we can propel ACS to even greater heights.
