I’ve really treasured my time with this community and feel privileged to be a part of it. I care about the society and would like to watch it continue to flourish, for this to happen it must be in competent hands. I would like to be the person to lead this effort and have relevant leadership and co-ordinational skills from my time as a British Army officer and film industry Set PA. While I do not think shooting ability is relevant to this position, I have several years’ experience of military and civilian shooting, both small and full bore. With this experience I hope to guide and nurture our already highly competent team of marksmen and markswomen to fully realise their potential whether that be in casual shooting or competitions. I want to be your advocate and enable you to get the most out of an incredible sport and discipline. Alongside this I would like to lead a strong committee that regularly hosts fun and inclusive socials and works hard to make sure that you are represented. I look forward to the prospect of serving the club.

With Fatima’s unrivalled organisational and communicational competencies and Miles’ exemplary ability to delegate every task under the sun, our two beloved captains have shown us how to run a truly successful university rifle society. Throughout my treasured months in this club, I have been tirelessly studying their managerial techniques, and I believe that now is the perfect time for me to put all this knowledge into practice. I could go on about my 3 years shooting for the RGS Guildford A-Team – one of the most successful shooting teams in the country (no need to fact-check that) – or show off the countless medals and trophies I’ve accepted in both small-bore and full-bore disciplines, but that would be boring and even I know literally none of you care. So instead, I will ask you to put your trust in me when I say that, along with what is set to be the strongest rifle committee in Uni of Leeds history, I promise to provide the best Thursday evening entertainment you could possibly dream of.
