Hola/Olá, my name is Alicia and I would love the opportunity to be a SLAPsoc Social Sec next year!
I feel that I'm well-suited to the role as I'm a well-organised and hard-working student. I have a bubbly personality, I'm passionate about languages and all things SLAP culture!
I would work hard with the other committee members to bring all of our ideas to life; creating a fun and inclusive space for everyone.
I have experience working in leadership roles, as I was Head Girl at my Sixth Form and my education in the performing arts (being member of a Dance School and part of Orchestras) has shown me how to be a welcoming face for newcomers. We all know first-hand that it can be quite daunting coming to University, meeting new people and trying to find spaces where you feel you fit in and can relax, so I feel that this is really important.
Furthermore, I'd hope to develop the society's outreach to all years; organising events where we don't just network, but further our language skills, and have a lot of fun.

¡Hola a todos! My name is Emily and I would love to be your social sec next year! I am open, friendly and organised, and love to learn languages and meet new people. As your social sec I will make sure to organise at least one Slapsoc event every two to three weeks, both independently and in collaboration with the other MFL societies.
