As President, you are in charge of the club and will make the final decisions regarding training, events, competitions etc. You must oversee the rest of the committee and ensure everyone is contributing and fulfilling their role. You are the person working behind the scenes to ensure the club continues to run effectively. It is essential that you are organised and have excellent communication skills. YOU ARE THE FACE OF THE CLUB. 

• Making sure all arrangements are made for training for the year - securing an S&C/circuit training session with the edge staff; maintaining the agreement with Leeds City AC to continue to use John Charles Track and communicating with coaches.
• Overseeing the logistic side of the major competitions of the year and collaborating with the captains to organise BUCS competitions.
• Organising transport to competitions and arranging hotel accommodation alongside the Secretary and Events Sec.
• Organising and chairing committee meetings.
• Being the main contact for the University, the Union and the Edge.
• Being the main contact for those interested in the society- often through email.
• Liaising with the sports staff.
• Attending sports assembly meetings.
• Setting objectives and targets for the year ahead to develop the club.
• Keeping the committee working together and functioning professionally and effectively.
• Organising GIAGs and freshers fair.
• Communicating with Beckett about Varsity
• Helping other committee members with their roles when needed.
• It is also important that you are present in the society, coming to training and socials.
• Anything else that comes up during the year, which it will! It really will!!
