The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Secretary is responsible for promoting inclusivity within CompSoc and helping to ensure the society is welcoming to students from all backgrounds. They support diversity-focused events, campaigns, and initiatives, while encouraging participation from underrepresented groups in computer science and technology. They also work with the committee to make events, communications, and activities accessible and inclusive, raise awareness of equality, diversity, and inclusion issues within tech and university life, and act as a point of contact for members with EDI-related concerns, ideas, or feedback. The role aims to help create a supportive society culture where all members feel respected, valued, and able to participate.
Responsibilities:
