The Web Development Officer is responsible for maintaining and evolving the society's online presence ensuring it remains up to date with the latest events and presents the society in a professional manner. Beyond routine updates, they are expected to implement new features as requested and should demonstrate a solid understanding of web development and deployment. The Web Development Officer should work closely with the Secretary to ensure the website aligns with the society's image and branding guidelines. This role requires a strong foundation in web development, an eye for detail, and the ability to balance ongoing maintenance with the demands of new development work throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
- Updating the website continuously with events, sponsors, and committee members
- Developing the page for LeedsHack and updating regularly and in a timely manner in line with other communications
- Developing any other new features requested by other committee members
- Managing deployment and hosting of the website
- Ensuring the website meets high standards of security and data protection
- Following Secretary’s guidance for society image and branding
