Firstly, I’m running for Social Media Officer because… well, I have done it in the past! I’ve already been Social Media Officer for the Charles Morris Committee (2025/26) ✨, where our work was strong enough to get shortlisted for Best Social Committee and Inclusive Community Award!

Secondly, you get a say, because I will ensure that your voice shapes the society ✊. Through Instagram stories, I’ll host polls, Q&As, and feedback requests, meaning you will have direct influence over events! Your ideas won’t disappear into a void; they will be collected and relayed to the other committee members! This is democracy, and I am handing you the ballot box 🗳️!

Thirdly, I am known to be a very responsive texter📱! You can expect timely, reliable replies to all DM messages any day of the week! Whether you have a quick question or a genuine concern, you will never feel ignored, for when you reach out, I will be present, attentive, and ready to help.

Fourthly, I am an excellent photographer 📸, offering to take high-quality and genuinely good photos of you and your friends during events and socials, when you are busy programming away during LeedsHack, for example! On the following day these photos will be uploaded to a google drive you can access, allowing you to relive those memories and share them on your own social media pages 💅!

hi, i’m aylin — a cs student working mainly in cybersecurity and robotics, with a strong interest in creative content and community building

i’ve previously been a treasurer at a cybersecurity club in the US, where i helped organise events and ensure everything ran smoothly, and i’ve also worked on marketing for a large STEM conference so i understand both the operational and creative sides of running a society

i love creating content from taking aesthetic photos and editing them, to posting and vlogging and as an entrepreneur, i know how to effectively market and promote ideas, events, and communities

currently, i’m also teaching programming at stanford code in place, which has strengthened my communication skills and ability to engage an audience

i want to bring a more consistent, creative, and engaging online presence to the society content that people actually enjoy, interact with, and feel part of

Hiya, I’m Lizzy — a first-year CompSci student — I don’t just want to run our society’s social media, I want to enhance it!!!

I want to make our social media more active, more engaging, and more reflective of our members.

I already attend a lot of society events, so I know what people enjoy and what’s worth sharing. I also have the time to stay consistent with posting — which I think is one of the most important things for keeping people engaged (I’m also up at odd hours… so no worries there lol).

I enjoy creating content and can use tools like DaVinci Resolve for videos/reels and Canva for posts — whether that’s event highlights, short-form content, or promotional material, I’m ready for it!

One of the things I'd love to focus on is showcasing what our members do outside of coursework — personal projects, apps, and achievements — and celebrating everything that makes out community great through our platform.

Alongside this, I have UX/UI design experience from an internship at a startup, which means I understand how to create content that not only looks good, but is also clear, engaging, and user-focused.

Overall, I’ll bring creativity, consistency, and genuine effort to make our socials something people want to engage with.
