It’s time to elect the new Yoga Society Committee for the 2026/2027 academic year!

We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate members who would love to help the society continue to grow, thrive, and create a welcoming space for everyone next year. Being on the committee is a great opportunity to become more involved in the society, meet new people, enjoy free classes, help organise events, and play a key role in planning our annual retreat.

This election will decide who will take on the key roles responsible for organising classes, socials, events, collaborations, and the overall success of the society. We would love to see Yoga Society continue to flourish, and we encourage anyone interested to put themselves forward.

Whether you’ve been attending classes regularly or simply love what the society stands for, we’d love for you to be involved.

Committee Roles

President - Oversees the running of the society, leads the committee, organises meetings, supports all committee members, and ensures the society is progressing throughout the year.

Secretary - Manages admin tasks, meeting notes, communications, room bookings, and helps keep the committee organised.

Treasurer - Oversees the society's finances, budgets, memberships, funding applications, and tracks spending throughout the year.

Social Secretary - Plans socials, wellbeing events, and community-building activities to help members connect outside of classes.

Media Secretary - Creates regular content for upcoming classes and socials, manages all communications between members, and promotes the benefits of yoga. 

Merchandise Secretary - Designs and organises society merchandise, clothing drops, and promotional materials.

Retreat Secretary - Helps plan and organise the annual yoga retreat, including activities, logistics, communication, and creating a memorable experience for members.

Support Coordinators - Help run socials, assist with opening and setting up classes, welcome members, support wellbeing initiatives, and act as approachable contacts for members throughout the year.
