Hello my name is Shadan and I’d love to be one of your secretaries!

Having been on MSRC for 2 years already with being your EDI & MUMS rep I am familiar with how the society & meetings run. I am well experienced with balancing my time between studies and responsibilities for my role, making sure all tasks are carried out to the best of my ability.

As MUMS rep I was required to complete a great quantity of work for my role in the summer, hence I will be committed to doing the same for this role to a high standard.

I have really enjoyed my time on MSRC and greatly value the significance of teamwork and will work effectively with the other secretary to manage the MSRC needs.

I am flexible in taking on sudden jobs that need to be completed and feel confident in prioritising tasks, such as in the meeting minutes, for efficiency.

My tenacity, self-discipline and reliability would make me an asset to MSRC as co-secretary. Thus far, in my role as Year 2 representative, I have attended all meetings, liased with faculty at the university to advocate for the student voice, and have extended the new Scrubs for Students initiative to also include the donation of anatomy lab coats at the end of this year, further increasing sustainability. All of these achievements have required organisation, dedication and communication - skills which are paramount to the role of co-secretary.

I would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have a more involved, central role within MSRC next year, while also further developing my own skillset for future years to come. I promise to prioritise accessibility and collaboration within and outside the organisation, to promote every medical student at Leeds having equal opportunities and the best possible experience with their education.

Having served on the MSRC committee over the past year as a MUMS rep, I've loved every moment of being part of such a dedicated committee and I am so excited to put myself forward for being Co-secretary this year.

With strong organisational skills and a commitment to detail, I am well-prepared to take on the responsibility of organising weekly meetings, recording accurate minutes, and monitoring attendance consistently. I’m confident managing shared email accounts, and I understand the importance of timely, professional communication, skills I’ll apply when handling the MSRC general inbox, whether that’s responding to student queries or forwarding urgent messages to the appropriate execs.

Having experience with society admin previously on British Tamil Medical Association, I’m comfortable with admin procedures, including risk assessments, food approval, and room bookings — and I will ensure every event is well-supported with the required documentation.

As a signatory, I understand the responsibility that comes with executive leadership, and I’m ready to show up with reliability, collaboration, and MSRC spirit at every meeting.

I would love the opportunity to continue serving a committee I care deeply about. This time from a central, coordinating role that keeps our council connected, prepared, and thriving.

Hi everyone!

My name is Henry, and I would consider it a privilege to represent your voice as Co-Secretary of the MSRC next year. I am motivated to work alongside my fellow committee members to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages student representatives to champion the needs of their peers.

I have previously worked with staff and students as a Senior Prefect in Sixth Form, taking an active role in implementing a daily mentorship scheme and school development plan. Within this role, I was also responsible for recording the minutes of Student Council meetings. This experience will allow me to excel in the Co-secretary role by assisting the executive committee to lead the MSRC and organising weekly meetings.

As a second-year MSRC representative this year, I have taken responsibility for leading the medical school merchandise sales. This has required close communication with members of the executive committee, which has provided me with the experience to offer support for the new merchandise coordinators next year. I aim to help deliver new and updated merchandise for both the MSRC committee and the wider medical school.

I have also helped shape potential future improvements for students as one of the MSRC assessment representatives this year, collecting feedback which should hopefully lead to more in-depth assessment breakdown for students in pre-clinical years. Therefore, you can be confident I will act upon suggestions made by committee members and their peers next year, and work with the Medical Faculty staff to execute positive changes for students

I have thoroughly enjoyed attending this year’s MSRC laser tag and Christmas dinner, and would be excited to introduce a new social event next year.

Finally, it is also my mission to work with the MSRC Societies Representative to make Varsity happen!

Hi, my name is Nechama and I would like to be one of your co-secretaries. I'm a current second year student going into third year.
I would like to be secretary as I want to be more involved in the management of MSRC and be able to contribute more in general.
I have been a first year and second year representative in MSRC for the past two years, so I understand how this society works and have seen the work and effort that goes into being secretary. I have also been on the Jewish student synagogue committee managing weekly services which gave me further experience in management and answering queries.
I am an organised individual- which I think is a necessary quality to be secretary to be able to punctually complete relevant tasks.
