Having been on committee for 2 years already as EDI and MUMS rep, I’ve really enjoyed listening to you to organise events in the year best catered to you and I’d love to continue this by representing you as a year rep.

I am experienced with balancing my time between studies and responsibilities for my role, ensuring I can be as efficient as I can, whether with merch distributions or putting your feedback to action.

As your year rep, I would be dedicated to coming to meetings and would not hesitate to speak up for your opinions, ensuring your voice is heard.

Hi everyone! I'm excited to put myself forward as your Year 3 Representative on the Medical Student Representative Council. I was MUMS rep last year and absolutely loved the opportunity and I am hoping to make a difference again in the next academic year.

As we navigate the year together, I want to be a strong, approachable voice for our cohort, someone who listens to your concerns and brings them directly to the people who can make change happen. Whether it's feedback about placements, lectures, or assessments, I’ll make sure your voice is heard clearly and constructively in meetings with module leads and faculty.

I’m also keen to help bring our community together by supporting the organisation and distribution of School of Medicine merchandise, because a sense of identity and unity matters, especially during these busy years.

If elected, I’d also be interested in taking on the role of Assessment Rep. I know how stressful exams can be, and I’d work closely with the assessment leads to raise concerns, clarify information, and ensure any issues are addressed quickly and transparently.

I’d love the opportunity to represent you, and I’ll do it with commitment, communication, and care.

Hello everyone,
After serving on the MSRC for a year as your IT Representative, I’m excited to take on more responsibility by running for 3rd Year Representative. In this role, I want to be your voice — taking your shared experiences, ideas, and concerns directly to the people shaping our medical school. My goal is to help make Leeds a safer, more supportive, and more efficient place to learn and grow.
I’m committed to actively listening to how you’re finding the course — because ultimately, that should be MSRC’s top priority: collecting your feedback and presenting it clearly to those who have the power to make meaningful, positive change. To improve communication, I’ll be sending out weekly updates in our year group chat to keep everyone in the loop, and I’ll regularly share anonymous feedback forms so you can safely and honestly share how you feel about the course and the school overall.
We all deserve to feel proud of being part of Leeds Medical School, and I want to help make that a reality.

Hi everyone!

My name is Henry, and I would consider it a privilege to represent your voice as 3rd Year Representative of the MSRC next year. I am motivated to work alongside my fellow committee members to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages other student representatives to champion the needs of their peers.

As a second-year MSRC representative this year, I have taken responsibility for leading the medical school merchandise sales. This has required close communication with members of the executive committee, which has provided me with the experience to offer support for the new merchandise coordinators next year. I aim to work alongside the committee next year to deliver new and updated merchandise for both the MSRC committee and the wider medical school.

I have previously worked with staff and students as a Senior Prefect in Sixth Form, taking an active role in implementing a daily mentorship scheme and school development plan. This experience will allow me to excel in the role of year representative, and work with the Medical Faculty staff to execute positive changes for our student cohort.

I have also helped shape potential future improvements for students as one of the MSRC assessment representative this year, collecting feedback which should hopefully lead to more in-depth assessment breakdown for students in pre-clinical years. Therefore, you can be confident I will act upon your feedback and suggestions.

Hi everyone,

I’m excited to put myself forward for 3rd Year Representative! Over the past two years at Leeds, I’ve thrown myself into student life — from joining a range of societies to taking up leadership roles like prefecting before university — and now I’m keen to take on a more direct role in shaping our experience here at medical school.

Being part of different societies has taught me the importance of communication, organisation, and genuinely listening to people’s needs. As your rep, I’ll make it my priority to gather feedback regularly, represent our year group clearly and confidently in meetings with staff, and follow through to make sure you can see real change happening.

I want to make it as easy as possible for everyone to share thoughts and concerns — whether that’s through anonymous forms, casual chats, or regular check-ins in our year group chat. I believe everyone’s voice deserves to be heard, not just when things go wrong but also when we have great ideas to share.

I’m also excited to get stuck into organising School of Medicine merch and helping out wherever else needed to make our year even more memorable.

If you ever want to chat, suggest something, or just have a rant about the course, I’ll always be around — approachable, honest, and genuinely on your side.

Hi! I have really enjoyed being Year 2 rep and being able to advocate for the student voice. I have been committed to the role as shown by me attending all the meetings and contributing as much as I can. Doing medicine is difficult and as we transition away from the typical lectures and seminars to more placement and independent learning, I would be grateful if I could be there to assist with any queries or concerns you may have. It is important to have a support network you can trust and a strong connection to the medical school should any issues arise - but being part of the student voice can also mean emphasising positive feedback and ensuring that our positive experiences are passed on to the future years ahead of us.

If I were to continue my role into next year, I would prioritise keeping medicine accessible with transparent communication and welcoming any feedback any student may have. Despite being a big cohort, it is vital that everybody feels seen and that their voice matters. For these reasons, I hope you will consider me for Year 3 rep.
