Responsibility, organisation and collaboration are the epitome of a treasurer - qualities which I am proud to have developed and look forward to developing further. My previous experience as Year 2 representative has been essential in progressing these skills; for example, I have attended all of the meetings both with committee and university faculty, therefore evidencing good time management and reliability when being part of a team. I also try and take as much of an active role where I can and contribute to the best of my ability. I can be held accountable and would be wholly grateful for the chance to be in such a position of responsibility next year.

Additionally, I was central in a fundraising project at home to raise money for charity, in which I tracked the sale of raffle tickets, coordinated prizes and managed the profits - summing to over £500 raised. I believe this is a great experience that would assist me in navigating the finances of MSRC, acquiring sponsorship and liasing with other societies/finance teams.

I very much appreciate the opportunity to be treasurer next year and believe I would be an excellent fit for the role.

I thought the best progression form my current role as a 1st Year Representative would be to apply for the Treasurer position. Handling finances and distribution of funding is a very huge responsibility - one which I would like to have more experience in! I am a very responsible, trustworthy and fair person and I think my general interest in finances makes me a good candidate for the role.
