Hi! I’m Nina, a second-year English and Film Studies student and I would love to be your next social sec!

After spending all of first year saying I was going to join LSTV, I finally did this year, and honestly it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! LSTV has given me opportunities I probably would’ve never had anywhere else. I’ve been on many different projects, including two NaSTA shortlisted projects and one Bronze NaSTA winning short film. I’ve also filmed dance shows with commercial, Christie Cup, and Varsity. Most importantly, I’ve been to pretty much every social event this society has put on this year!

I believe that socials are such an important aspect of societies, and as social sec, I wish to make your time with LSTV as fun as possible outside of the amazing projects this society has to offer!

My priority will be inclusivity, I know how difficult it can be for new members to join in so I want to make sure everyone feels welcome!
I would love to organise more sober, casual socials, similar to the Traitors social we had earlier this year, so that everyone can join in as much as possible. I would love to do a games or craft night, allowing everyone to get to know each other in an environment different from a loud night out or a busy LSTV project.
I know some FilmSoc committee members, and I would love to organise a screening with them!
I also love a good night out, so of course I will be organising plenty throughout the year (I'm a Belgrave lover, so of course we will be going there :)

I will make sure all social events are accessible to all and that everyone feels comfortable at all times. I know how overwhelming nights out can be for certain people so please don’t hesitate to come to me if you need any help, I will do whatever I can to make sure you feel safe!
I love taking photos and always take my digital camera with me on night out, so any social will be well documented and I will make sure you have access to the photos.
Of course, I'm always open to suggestions and would love to hear any ideas you have!

Finally, if this helps, I tend to overshare when I drink, so don't feel embarrassed in front of me, I'm probably asking myself why I said that thing earlier (I'm still trying to convince myself no one remembers any of it, so if you, please DO NOT tell me, I don't want to know)
