I am running for the position of Charity Officer for PakSoc. I am passionate about making a positive impact for our community and our university. I have a clear vision and many plans for this role.

I would work hard to collaborate and work closely with other societies to aid our contributions so we can make the strongest impact we can. I plan to propose implementing a system where society members vote for one major charity to support for the year, so we can take into account everyone’s opinions about which matters mean most to them. In addition to our charity work towards to the main charity, I will also strive to provide support to other causes throughout the year, based on your passions and interests.

Beyond monetary donations, charity does not always have to involve monetary contributions. I will ensure that there are various ways for society members to contribute, such as volunteering their time, organising awareness campaigns, and charity sales.

I will carefully plan, with time and care, education and awareness campaigns: through workshops, talks, and events to raise awareness about the causes we support, so we can raise to most amount of money we can as a community.
