Hi guys! I'm Victor Gachoki, a Mechatronics and Robotics Student finishing my second year. I joined the University of Leeds East African Society as a member in my first year and proceeded to join the committee as events coordinator in my second – both are years in which I have thoroughly enjoyed. Working with the committee and attending events has helped me experience the beautiful diversity and vibrant energy of this incredible society as well as the trials and struggles that manifest themselves naturally as time goes by. My main goal as president is to integrate a career-minded and employment opportunistic environment to the society (internships, graduate roles etc) to the ever so lively entertainment scene that has been well established. We understand each other: our traditions, our persona, our hopes, and tribulations. In this respect, building a society that grows us and the culture that we love would be nothing short of a spectacle. Let’s stretch the limits of ourselves, and the society. Let’s not forget have some fun as well ;).
