Hey everyone hope you’ve all had a great Easter - I thought I’d kick of these manifestos and tell you that I’m running for…. Social media charity and alumni!

This will be my fourth year in the club so I’ve spent enough time following the leeds insta that I’m now itching for a #takeover. As previous B&D coach and current 1s captain I’ve decided I want to take on a more organisational role this year and throw the biggest ball you’ve ever seen 🥳🥳🥳

I’m taking a year out of medicine and intercalating which means I’ll have hardly any work and can divert all my time and energy to leeds Lax (although not much new there?) In fact I only chose to intercalate so that I can spend yet another year clocking in more hours at weetwood and popworld than I do at placement.

My best friends are all leaving me 😭😭😭and graduating from uni (@ Ellie maia Sophie ) so I’ll be sure to play the best friend card and drag them back to the ball and any alumni events we do - u can take the girl out of Leeds lax but u can’t take leeds lax out the girl 💚🥍 And of course to all our second years going off to your placements don’t think I won’t be getting u back for a reunion at the ball too !!

As seen from the newfound lacrosse corner in popworld, the ever growing list of lax-cest and our rapid love for a rollover, our flourishing friendship with the boys is something that turned the last few weeks of term into quite the bender. It would be great to keep that going next year and really make an effort to make our clubs close.

I think we can really utilise the charity role and use the ball and raffle to raise a lot of money for some great causes as was done so well this year. It’s been such a great way to bring us all together as a club and support some really special charities.
