Hello lovely ladies, I’m Ellie and I am hoping to be your ✨ General Secretary ✨

For those of you who don’t know me, before I left for my year abroad in sunny España, I spent my second year as your Social Secretary alongside current pres Nancie, as well as being first team goalie (somehow). Now it is time for me to say adios to Spain and come back to LAX for my final year ever 🥲 Last time I applied for committee I was a silly fresh so I’m feeling super old now thinking about leaving the club, but I can’t think of a better way to spend my final year than with you amazing girls 💚

Why I would be a great Gen Sec:

- Pensioner benefits 🧑🏻‍🦳 As this will be my final year of uni and (hopefully) second year on committee, I have a lot of experience that I can bring to the table. As social sec I organised the charity raffle, LAX ball, weekly socials and the highly important Varsity tickets. So, although I’m leaving my silly social sec days behind me, I will use this experience in Exec committee to make sure everything at the club runs smoothly for you 😚

- Dedication to the club 🥍 In my year as social sec I did not miss a single Wednesday Social, even after some messy nights (which I’m sure some of you remember) and I bargained with the security at Popworld to make sure we ALWAYS got our sourz, even if we didn’t have the numbers. I also played every BUCS game, and even though we literally won twice (sorry deffo my fault) it is the participation that counts🙃 So, you can be certain that I will be there every step of the way, working with Exec to get the job done!

- Organisation 📝 I study Law with Hispanic Law so I am super hard-working and organised, and I will use my lawyer arguing skills to ensure we have refs and transport sorted for all games. For some reason I also love doing admin (not boring I promise), so this will be the perfect role for me as I have already learnt how to balance my degree with being on committee

I absolutely love being a part of LUUWLC and I cannot wait to see all of the familiar faces and new ones when we are back in September, whether I am on committee or not. Very devastated that a lot of my favourite people will be gone, but I am so excited to meet all the freshers who won’t know me, and hopefully get even more people to sign up for the club to make it our best year yet!
