Hello lax ladies,
I’m back with another manifesto, this year I will be running for 1s captain alongside mills!
Last year I was beginners and development sec with Nancy (it seems I can’t do anything by myself). We had many laughs with the b&d gals and even managed to teach them how to play lax. From never picking up a ball and stick in their lives, we lead them to victory at their very first lax match.
So clearly I have some teaching skills under my belt. Of course, coaching incredibly talented first teamers is a different ball game but nothing I can’t handle 🥍🥍🥍💪🏼💪🏼
I believe I have enough lax experience and knowledge to lead the next first team to victory. This year has been a bit of a rollercoaster, but it’s time to knuckle down and get ourselves up to prem!!!
Some of you may know me as the member of the society who can down the quickest pint…🫣🫣but seriously maybe as your captain I’ll coach myself extra hard in that department this year 🍻🍻
All jokes aside, I would love to take on the challenge and leadership role of 1s captain.
I also believe that mills and I will be the perfect duo
Of course, I will be following in the footsteps of Sophie and Lara who did an amazing job this year, but hopefully I can make the team and club proud 💚💚

I am running for 1s captain with Holly Hinchliffe!! I’m sure you have had the pleasure of reading her post. I’m glad to see she touches on her extremely quick pint chop as she really is carrying us as a pair in that department🤥🤥 Following in the footsteps of Sophie and Lara will be no easy task but one I am keen to take on! With my experience as social sec commitment to Wednesdays is drilled into me. So be it snow, rain or a hangover I will be out there on the pitch delivering a hardcore training sesh 💪🏼 If you’ve taken nothing else from my being social sec I hope it’s that I can project my voice and enjoy bossing people around - two essential qualities in a captain if u ask me 🤩 I can already picture it, BUCS final, green v purple, and no it’s not Nottingham it’s ovs our Leeds 1s team!! 💚100% we are making it into the prem league and I am so excited for us to build an amazing team and would love to be the one to lead that team to victory!
