Hi all, I'm Ruben and I'm nominating myself for treasurer this year! I am ready to take on the responsibility, ensuring people pay their debts in a timely manner, applying for subsidiaries, producing reports and basically not going broke. I hope you vote for me :)

Hey everyone,

I’m Samuel Djanogly, and I’m running for treasurer in Ultimate Frisbee. I know I might not have direct experience in managing club finances, but I do have a solid background in math and computer science which I’m currently studying it at university, which means I’m comfortable with numbers, budgeting, and all that good stuff.

I think the role of treasurer is all about being organized and making sure our society has a solid financial footing. Even though I’m new to this, I’m ready to jump in and learn. Here’s what I plan to do if I get the role:
Keep our accounts on track: I’ll make sure we stay on top of our accounts with the LUU Cash Office and maintain a clear record of everything. since it crucial that we know where our money is coming from.
Set realistic budgets: Since I’m good with numbers, I can help set budgets for our socials and tournaments that make sense. I’ll also make sure we price things fairly, so we’re not losing out, but everyone can still join in the fun.
Transparency is key: I’m all about keeping things open and transparent. I’ll produce termly reports and share our finances at the Annual General Meeting so that everyone knows how we’re doing.
Look for funding opportunities: I’ll explore subsidy applications with the Activities Executive and other funding sources to keep our society thriving. Every little bit helps, right? I know being a treasurer is a big responsibility, but I’m excited about the challenge. I’m organized, detail-oriented, and ready to make sure our society’s finances are solid. Plus, I’m easy to talk to, so if you ever have questions or ideas about our budget, I’m here to listen.
