Hi, I’m Nick. I previously ran for Treasurer, but I didn’t win, so instead I’m running for Social Secretary.

I would love the opportunity to share a handful of great films that I think are really enjoyable and valuable, a little out-there and not seen by a huge amount of people. My hope for the films I pick is that people enjoy watching them, want to talk about them afterwards, and that people find them memorable; I think we've all had the experience of watching a movie, coming out and thinking it was good, yet barely thinking about it after the days ended.

As the Social sec, I’ll be sure to post everything on time and in an easy to follow manner. I’ll try to have fun with posts and give the online presence of Filmsoc a little character and warmth.

Hi, I'm Thomas and i'm sure a lot of you have seen me at film society before. Films mean a lot to me (Basically got me through lockdown) and I'd love to share some of my favorites. Film soc has also helped me find some great friends and I hope as part of the commitee I can help maintain the great community which made me feel so welcome.

As Social Secretary I will make sure tickets and links are posted on time and provide usefull commuincation via social media platforms. Hopefully adding my own creative touch to them.

Hi! I’m Adam, I’m a first year student, and an active member of the LUU Film society. I’ve had a wonderful experience this year thanks to our society, and so, I am asking for the opportunity to further maintain and develop our tradition as your Social Secretary next year.

What I’m most excited for this upcoming year is the chance to grow the committee closer to its community, allowing for more discussion and involvement in how we run the society, to have more of a say in what is played at screenings, and more opportunities for events.

My main role as social sec would be to make sure the social media runs smoothly, which I would. Personally I believe that the running of socials this year by Nial has been great, concise and on time, and so I would aim to continue that.

This year felt like it lacked enough social events, and so my main aim as social sec would be to organise and orchestrate such socials, as what’s the fun in having such vibrant and welcoming community if we aren’t going out together!
