I’m running for Newsletter Editor because I believe in the power of communication to bring people together, amplify voices, and build a stronger, more connected community. As a Philosophy and Politics student, I’m deeply interested in leadership, representation, and the impact of ideas — and I want to reflect that through a newsletter that is engaging, inclusive, and genuinely worth reading.

As an aspiring MP, I’m particularly passionate about encouraging more women to engage with leadership, politics, and global affairs. But beyond that, I want the newsletter to represent everyone in our society while celebrating achievements, sharing opportunities, and highlighting the diverse interests and experiences that make this community what it is.

If elected, I’ll bring creativity, consistency, and real dedication to the role. I want to create something that people actually look forward to — not just updates, but a platform that informs, inspires, and empowers.

Hello everyone! My name is Sumana Madichetty, and I am running for the position of Newsletter Secretary to expand my experience with editing and creativity.

I am a strong communicator and believe that the best work comes through teamwork and efficient organisational skills; these are skills that I have honed through my varied experiences in high school and university. Through this role, I would want to make a bigger impact through the newsletter, by taking in opinions of the members of the society, and figuring out how to implement them practically.

Furthermore, I would love to bring my experience as Assistant-Editor-in-Chief of the Rule of Law Journal to the new Inclusion Journal. I love tinkering around with creative ideation through platforms like Canva and Procreate, and hope to work with the team to bring about a new and improved newsletter with more social media presence. I am passionate about everything that I do, and I would love to give everyone a voice to shout out their opinions through this newsletter.
