This role involves working to create an inclusive welcoming society and ensuring that members are kept safe while rowing, competing and at socials. Some of the key jobs are acting upon any issues reported by members, completing the British Rowing safety audit, risk assessments and working to improve the clubs inclusivity and accessibility throughout the year. You work closely with the WSO especially in regard to athletes' mental well being. You will also work with all other members of committee, Head of Sport and the union to be supported in the above tasks. It is a lot of hard work and you are dealing with sensitive issues in some cases but this makes it a very rewarding and fulfilling committee role.
