The role of Alumni and fundraising secretary is to manage our relationship with the Alumni community as well as being responsible for organising fundraising events with the aim of raising money for the club and charities. More specifically this will involve working to organise Leeds based events such as the Alumni v UOLBC, helping assist in the organising of Alumni drinks and Henley Royal Regatta and a quarterly newsletter aimed at conveying UOLBC news back to our alumni. You will also sit on the committee of Aires Boat Club which was established in 2021 and has three distinct aims:
-To provide a community for Alumni to stay involved and connected with UOLBC
- Support the activities of UOLBC and the development of its members through advice, financial support and counsel.
- To help UOLBC with its aim of wanting: “To be the best University Boat Club at delivering high-performance and participation programmes, simultaneously”.
To be successful in this role you need good organisational skills and the ability to work alone and alongside other committee members in order to plan club wide events.
