Hi everyone, I’m Katie and I would love to get the chance to become your next Match Secretary! I am currently in first year studying sociology and have been on match team in the past year as a base for Lions Green. I have absolutely loved being a part of match team and enjoy all things match related such as training in preparation and cheering for the Leeds University sports matches. I am very organised which I think is key in this role as there are so many people on the match teams to arrange. I am also approachable and friendly which I think is important especially because lots of first-year students will be wanting to join match teams in the upcoming year and will have lots of questions. I am happy and willing to respond to anyone’s queries surrounding matches and my knowledge/experience of being on match team this year will help me support the match team cheerleaders. My flexibility will also help me in this role as I am a quick responder and will solve any problems that could come up with matches e.g. last minute changes, weather issues and match locations. hey guys i’m ellie and i’m a first year psychology student, meaning this year has been my first year on lions and actually first time doing cheer in general! being part of celtics has absolutely made my first year and a massive part of that has been performing at matches which is why i would absolutely love to be your match sec next year!! i’m a super super organised person meaning i’d make sure all our matches and performances ran smoothly and would actually love to try and get even more matches for next year, potentially with other teams we haven’t performed for so far!!! i also consider myself to be the least scary person in the world lol and therefore think i’d be super approachable for any concerns that anyone on match had regarding absences etc etc as i think that’s super important for this role!!! overall i would absolutely love the opportunity to give back to celtics for the amazing experience it’s given me and make sure that current celtics (including next years freshers) get to have this too 💗💗💗💗 ellie xxx
