To all you lovely people,

This past year as Vice Captain has been an absolute blast and I've enjoyed every second of it. For yet another year this society continues to be the best part of my time at Leeds, and so much of that is due to what this year's and the previous year's committee have done to make the society what it is. I enjoy my time here so much, and I only hope to be able to pass on this experience to as many of you as possible, and give back to the society, to keep it being the best community of people in Leeds for ages.

Reflecting on this season of the BUKC so far, I think it's safe to say that it's been a success. First of all I couldn't of asked to work with a better Captain - it's been an absolute joy Ed, and I'll be doing my best to fill your shoes. We managed to qualify 4 teams this year, with one in Mains, and every driver competed in at least 2 races (as long as they showed interest). Thank you to everyone who competed, spectated, drove, and in general, supported the BUKC team. I can't stress how much I appreciate all your efforts, and I hope you've had and will keep having a wonderful time with the BUKC, as I do.

So what about next year? Me and Ed's aim for this year was to build a strong foundation of new drivers to develop them into karters that will be competitive in the upcoming seasons. I believe we've done that, so for next year at least one team will definitely be dedicated to try and compete for the best results possible in the BUKC. The value of inclusivity for Leeds will not disappear, and every other team we qualify will continue to be dedicated to providing as much time and experience for everyone on track across the whole season. That's the best part of the society for me, so definitely not seeing it go.

What else. Oh yeah I should probably own up to something. Heath has been rightfully on my case about not doing the Racing Basics (Karting Coaching) talk this year as I said I'd do last year. Being the slight perfectionist I am I didn't want to do the talk until I felt like it was perfect and ready, and clearly that's meant too much time has passed and I didn't get it done. However, at the beginning of next year this will be done, prior to the start of the BUKC and TdY - that's a promise.

I think I've rambled on enough now. Thank you all once again for everything, you're all so awesome.

P.S. I ended off last year's message saying that every race of BUKC next year would be dry if I was Vice Captain (and it worked somehow?). So vote for me to continue having full dry seasons of BUKC forever.
