Hi! You all already know me, but if you don’t, my name is Amelia. I am a second-year Social and Political Sciences student and one of your current Social Secretaries. (If you don’t remember me and attended the pub quizzes we have done this year, I have been the one screaming either at you in RPP or through a microphone at Old Bar). This year, I have contributed to organising your socials, pestering you to use Fresh2Death’s cheaper society links and ordering too many tequila shots for you all that one time at RPP. I hope to still be a part of the POLISSOC committee the next academic year, this time not as one of your social secretaries, but as your president instead!

If elected as your president next year, I will:
- Continue to support committee members in organising large-scale events, such as a better trip abroad and an end-of-year ball for our society
- Maintain bi-weekly socials to ensure that we all have something fun to look forward to
- Improve the number of sober socials that we do as a society, making sure that everyone can attend an event which POLISSOC hosts
- Continuing to organise talks with individuals from Leeds City Council, MPs and the University
- Integrate both POLIS netball and football more into the society through the creation of a sports rep role
- Organise and chair fun, bi-weekly committee meetings
