Phoenix Secretary’s role includes registering the team and athletes for competitions and booking the coach when the running order is released. 

Getting the details of all of those who tried out (and there will be a lot) and sending emails back to all those who did and didn’t make the team, including call backs. Other admins roles will include figuring out the coaches training days, insurance and buying any new kit Pom may need. 

Ultimately you need to be the organisational role within the team and provide support to your coaches. However you also need to make the team feel comfortable and be welcoming to those new members. Answer any questions anyone may have about the team structure and competitions as well as having a Pom only social or two to bond the team. 

You should try out for the role if are organised to keep on top of the competition deadlines and believe you are a welcoming and approachable person for the rest of the team.
