Hi my name is Hermy and I am an Adult Nursing student going into my 2nd year! I love my course and I am also very passionate about helping people. This is why I am keen on the role of the treasurer as I am excited to get involved with the team, encouraging others in making a real difference.

My passion for global health started with volunteering at a food distribution centre and in a hospital where I saw firsthand the importance of access to basic resources and support.
As well as placement as a student nurse, I built on my interpersonal skills such as clear communication and staying organised which is important as a treasurer. Managing funds responsibly and organising fundraising events and donations need a strong sense of teamwork and community as well as attention to detail, this is something I really value and have already built on through volunteering and placement.

I will make sure I do my best as a treasurer in being organised with admin tasks, how the finances are allocated and keeping clear records of donations. I am excited particularly about helping organising fundraising events with the team and making a meaningful difference together.
