Hey y’all I’m Chanté aka Tae!! And I’d love your vote, here is why:

As I leave the role of Vice President and aim for President, I am acutely aware of the big shoes I have to fill following our outstanding previous presidents. However, I embrace this challenge with my whole heart and am committed to leading our society to even greater heights.

For me, LUU Street has become the family I didn’t know I needed. I want every member, whether new or old, to feel the same sense of belonging and support that I have experienced. I am here to cheer you on and support you in your endeavors, whether they involve dance or not, because that's just the type of person I am.

I am deeply passionate about creating and will tackle this role with full force to ensure that we reach our potential as a society. My priority is to cultivate a safe, comfortable, and happy environment for every member. While I may be a little crazy at times, my heart is always in the right place. I am not afraid to address any issues that arise, and I will always stand by your side.

In my vision, LEEDS = STREET = SUCCESS. When people think of university of Leeds dance societies, they will think of us, and if they don’t, we will make sure they do this year. I have unwavering faith in our society, and I am determined to provide opportunities for everyone to shine.

As President, I will be committed to welcoming freshers in a new light, providing them with opportunities to connect with fellow members and build friendships beyond the dance floor. I will prioritize communication by implementing regular feedback surveys and events where every voice can be heard, ensuring that we continuously improve as a team.

I am dedicated to producing jaw-dropping competition routines, creating new ideas such as dance music videos to boost our social standing and demonstrate the ability we have, whilst organizing fundraising and charity events to connect with all members of our university community. Additionally, I will seek collaborations with other societies to foster better connections and enhance our collective experience.

With the support of my Vice President, I will ensure seamless committee engagement and exciting weekly classes and beginner workshops. Socials with other societies, as well as activities like brunch, games nights, and bowling, will provide opportunities for us to chill and vibe with each other outside of dance.

Finally, I am committed to showcasing our members more at Intercomp by entering more categories and highlighting the incredible talent within our society.
