The events secretary should seek to create fun and affordable events that are inclusive to commuting students. 

The role involves:

- Planning and organising society events 

- Working with the social media and marketing officer to promote events

- Working alongside bodies such as the Plus Programme to hold events in partnership with them

- Ensuring the external speaker procedure is followed
