Hi there! My name is Elliott and I am running for the role of Secretary in the Motorsport Society. Having gotten properly stuck in with the society this year, I have had great fun with the many events put on and all the new people I met with a shared passion for motorsport, and I hope to bring the same enjoyment that this year's committee has delivered.

Predictably, my interest in motorsport started with F1, and has since branched out to the likes of Indycar, WRC and more, building up a bank of motorsport knowledge that some say is at least half as large as Luke Tyson's.

Why vote for me? I have plenty of experience working in a team, ranging from constructing model aerofoils in an EDT Headstart Course to group projects at university, which plays into my organisation skills in a sort of positive feedback loop. I am also sociable and willing to help out, from my time as volunteering as college ambassador, which will come in useful for the flexible responsibilities I would take on and for alumni liaison.

If I am to be voted in as Secretary, I would ensure open communication with society members, including polls in order to gain an idea of what might be popular with all of you and answering any queries that people (especially new members) may have regarding anything related to the society. As for the society in general, I would encourage motorsport trips to even more racing series, such as rallying and motorcycle racing for example (if proved popular enough), and increase collaboration with other universities' motorsport societies for even greater participation in events such as the e-TdY.

A final thank you to any outgoing committee members for the utterly brilliant year they have given, and I hope to continue the society's growth and tradition of TopGear references (the latter, I can certainly promise).
