A lot of gaming societies across the country have begun to give more focus to the women and non-binary cohort, with NSE and NUEL running specific competitions to allow access for all. Currently these competitions allow for universities to collaborate and build teams with one or two other universities. Some societies have also begun creating separate spaces specifically for the WNB members, free from toxicity and stigma. As believers in this mission, we're opening up a new role to give specific focus towards the WNB members of our society, so that we can also make the gaming industry a more comfortable environment for all.

The Women and Non-binary Support Officer is responsible for organising our women and non-binary teams as well as building a safe and welcoming environment for all marginalised groups.

Responsibilities:

• Liasing with esports and gaming societies in other universities to form our Women and Non-binary teams for all WNB specific competitions.
• Ensure a safe environment for all marginalised groups in the society
• Aid in organising and running events for marginalised groups.
