This year I’ve been involved in Martha Plays Mr Waddiger, Nevermore, and also wrote and directed my own short play in the Page2Stage scheme. This has developed my organisation and ability to juggle a few things at once! I love getting stuck in to anything Open Theatre, and am really committed to the society.

I study theatre and performance, meaning I’m really passionate about drama. I’m currently head of marketing and publicity for my end of year performance, meaning I’ve had experience with booking rooms, sending emails, and liaising across staff, students and outside practitioners.

I currently work part-time at an office job, where I have to be organised and I’m used to sending a good email!

As secretary, I’d love to make both communication with the committee and room bookings more accessible. I love Open Theatre and it would mean a lot to me to be part of the wonderful team that keeps it running!

I think Open Theatre is a really welcoming, inclusive society and it’s been an enormous part of how I spend my time at uni. I’d be honoured to give back to it and the people who have made my time at uni so special.

About me:
Lover of beanies and all things admin (I have maintained an up to date spreadsheet for every drag race season, ranking every queens competitive performance for an embarrassing percentage of my life.)
-I will be entering my third year studying English Literature
-Shadow Director for ‘A Stained Glass Closet’ and currently Assistant Director for ‘Nevermore’

Aims:
To continue the work of previous secretaries and ensuring shows have the easiest time with scheduling and admin by:
-Offering additional support for shows by communicating with the union on their behalf.
-Being an open line between members and committee via emails.
-Supporting the executive team in Society decisions.
