Hi I'm Lucy Hart, I am your current Union Affairs & Communications Officer at LUU and 2nd year International Relations student. I am running to be your next Open Theatre Vice President!

I absolutely adore Open Theatre and all the amazing people in the society. During my time with the society I have been involved with 5 productions - performing in Over My Dead Body, Roses and Ravens and Final Cut, directing Stained Glass Closet and Blindsided. My favourite part of the society is bringing another student’s theatrical vision come to life!

What I would want to do as Vice President of Open Theatre...

1. Increase engagement and collaboration with non-profit theatre groups in Leeds who are using theatre to support communities. This includes getting involved with Leeds Community Arts Network (LeedsCAN).
2. Look at exciting funding opportunities for the Edinburgh Fringe festival beyond LUU and the University.
3. Ensure the society is inclusive and accessible to all whether this be performances, fundraisers or social events. This includes working with stage@leeds to ensure show dates cater to different faith groups and that venues used are accessible!
4. Use my leadership skills to support the President and the committee with tasks.
5. Be a visible leader bringing fun and energy to all committee meetings and OT events!
