Hey everyone, I’m running for Treasurer.

I’m going to be a 2nd year Mechatronics and Robotics student, on the Film Committee, and my Laidlaw Scholarship starts this June, where I'll be researching AI and VR pipelines for a Franka Panda robot arm.

Since our committee focuses on putting together great events, panels, and networking opportunities , the Treasurer role is all about making those events actually happen. Here is what I will bring to the team:

Organized and Funded: Securing a competitive research scholarship like Laidlaw takes serious organization, deadline tracking, and administrative discipline. I will bring that exact level of reliability to managing our society accounts, tracking expenditures, and keeping our finances perfectly balanced.

Budgeting for Events: Through my time on the Film Committee, I understand what goes into planning and resource management. I’ll use that experience to make sure we allocate our funds smartly—whether that’s securing great venues, booking travel for top-tier guest speakers, or funding networking socials for our members.

Maximizing Our Resources: Medical robotics is a massive industry. I want to look into university grants, departmental funding, or corporate sponsorships so we have a bigger budget to scale up the quality of our panels and events this year.

Even though I'll be busy in the robotics lab this summer, my funding and research are locked in, giving me the perfect stability to keep our committee's finances running smoothly behind the scenes!
